Getting Ready: The Life Changing Process of Goal Setting

blog-logo11

Next week we start the process of Designing the Best 10 Years of Your Life.

This program is jam-packed with information to help you unearth your greatest dreams, desires and inner potential.

You’ll learn how to accelerate your life faster, go farther and live grander than you ever dared imagine.

In fact, we have so much ground to cover I wanted to offer some preliminary insights this week to help you gear up for our adventure.

Read the Introduction to Designing the Best 10 Years of Your Life, if you didn’t get the opportunity last week.

Here’s what I’m going to cover:

WHY goal setting is important—it’s good to know why before we jump into how.
HOW it actually works—it’s not as magical and mystical as you might think.
WHY most people fail at achieving goals—don’t miss this or you might fail as well.
HOW this program is going to work—setting your sights and expectations for the process.
WHY I am doing this (for FREE) —I think it is always important to know one’s motivation behind their actions. I’ll explain mine here.

WHY Goal Setting Is Important

When I attended the funeral of Paul J. Meyer, I was reminded how full, rich and diverse a life he led. He achieved, experienced and contributed more than the lives of the average 20 people combined. Reading his obituary made me reassess the speed, quantity and sheer size of the goals I want to set for myself.

If Paul were here he would tell you, the reason for the quality and quantity of his successes came down to one skill: setting, sticking to and staying committed to BIG goals. In fact he wrote one of the first programs on the topic called “The Dynamics of Personal Goal Setting.” A couple of ideas I’ll share with you come from my studies and practices of this program.

The Two Common Traits of Superachievers

I am often asked what common traits I observe as I interview and get to know many of today’s superachievers. The answer is easy because those common factors are shared by nearly 100 percent of top achievers. They are:

1) A relentless commitment to constant learning and;
2) Clear goals expressed in a beautifully crafted document detailing their plans to achieve them.

Business 101: Goal Setting

You’ve probably read about the Harvard study below, but it’s worth reviewing again as we dedicate some significant time and energy to our decision to get serious about designing the life we want to lead.

Mark McCormick in his book What They Don’t Teach You at Harvard Business School tells of a Harvard study conducted between 1979 and 1989.

In 1979, graduates of the MBA program were asked to set clear written goals for their future and their plans to accomplish them. It turned out only 3 percent of the graduates had written goals, 13 percent had goals but they were not in writing and 84 percent had no specific goals at all–aside from getting out of school and enjoying the summer.

Ten years later, in 1989, the researchers again interviewed the members of that same graduating class. They found that the 13 percent who had goals that were not in writing were earning, on average, twice as much as the 84 percent of students who had no goals at all. Most surprisingly, they found that the 3 percent of graduates who had clear, written goals were earning, on average, 10 times more than 97 percent of their graduating class. The only difference between the groups was the clarity of goals they had set (and spelled out) for themselves when they graduated.

Now if you knew that stretching several hours out over eight weeks to devote to strategic goal-setting could multiply the results in your life by 10—surpassing the accomplishments of your peers, competitors, family members and neighbors—and produce 10 times more than what you are likely to achieve without defining your goals on paper—would you do it? Would it be worth it? Easy answer, but we’ll see. (Make sure you’re still here February 25 for our last installment).

The Killer Advantage

No matter your background, education or current level of success, if you master the skills and processes I will take you through, you can instantly gain an advantage over everyone else around you. You can start to access more of the grand potential within yourself and achieve only in a few months or a year what it might take others their entire lifetime to accomplish. You can achieve vastly more in a shorter period than you ever imagined. The speed will amaze both you and the people around you.

No matter your lot in life you can win

I have a relative who is exponentially smarter than myself. In fact, he has a Ph.D. I, on the other hand, only finished one year of college. He is also incredibly talented—he plays several instruments, sings like an angel and has talents I can barely conceive of. He is a passionate romantic, has a warm and engaging personality and is generous, giving and loving. Not that I don’t possess some of these finer traits–but not anywhere near to the degree he has.

However, he is also nearly 50 years old, living in his mother’s home–the same one he grew up in–struggling to pay his bills (even though his room and board are free) and, of course, is incredibly unfulfilled, distraught and probably a bit depressed.

I have seen many people with average intelligence run circles around proclaimed geniuses. Why? The one who learns the skill of effective goal-setting and achieving has a better chance of becoming far more wealthy, successful and happier than many geniuses who don’t know what they really want and haven’t plotted a course toward their better future!

But I warn you, this is a serious program for serious people who want to create serious results.

Learning to set goals is a master skill of success. Without goals your life is like a boat without a rudder. You drift along with the current, inevitably crashing up on the rocks time and time again. Proper goal setting puts you in a speedboat and gives you a target to steer toward. You will go directly to your destination and with great speed.

Here is the biggest reason WHY setting goals is crucial to realizing your potential–watch the video below:

“He who has a why to live for can bear almost any how.” —Friedrich Nietzsche

If the WHY is big enough, the HOW is easy. Conversely, if WHY is not identified or is not significant, then any level of difficulty in the HOW will be enough to defeat you. I call this building and fortifying your “WhyPower.”

The person who has a clear, compelling and white-hot burning reason why will always defeat even the best of the best at doing the how. We see this reality played out repeatedly. It’s where greatness and great achievement spring from.

HOW Goal Setting Actually Works: The Mystery ‘Secret’ Revealed

You only see, experience and get what you look for. If you don’t know what to look for, you certainly won’t get it.

By our very nature we are goal-seeking creatures. Our brain is always trying to align our outer world with what we’re seeing and expecting in our inner world. When you instruct your brain to look for the things you want, you will begin to see them. In fact, the object of your desire has probably always existed around you, but your mind and eyes weren’t open to “seeing” it.

This is actually how the Law of Attraction really works. It is not some mysterious, esoteric voodoo–which it sometimes sounds like. It’s far simpler and more practical than that.

We are bombarded with billions of sensory (visual, audio, physical) bytes of information each day. To keep ourselves from going insane, we ignore 99.9 percent of them. You only really see, hear or experience those upon which your mind focuses. This is why when you “think” something, it appears that you are miraculously drawing it into your life. In reality, you’re now just seeing what was already there. You ARE truly “attracting” it into your life. It wasn’t there before or accessible TO YOU until your thoughts focused and directed your mind to see it.

Make sense? It’s not mysterious at all; it’s actually quite logical. Now with this new perception, whatever your mind is thinking internally is what it will focus on and all of a sudden “see” within that 99.9 percent of remaining space.

Here’s an example: Did you ever buy a new car (or had a friend who did) and then you started to see that model and make ‘everywhere’? Seems like there are tons of them on the streets all of a sudden, doesn’t it? More likely than not, they’ve been there all along, but you weren’t paying attention to them. Thus, they didn’t really “exist” to you before.

So, when you define your goals you give your brain something new to look for and focus on. You give your mind a new set of eyes to see all the people, circumstances, conversations, resources, ideas and creativity surrounding you. With this new perspective, an inner itinerary, it can now proceed with matching up on the outside what you want most on the inside, your goal. It’s that simple, but the difference in how you see, experience and draw ideas, people and experiences into your life after you have clearly defined your goals is profound.

WHY Most Goal Setting Fails

Read my feature article in the January issue of SUCCESS magazine: Goal Setting Doesn’t Work.

Here’s a short-cut to the 5 big reasons goal setting fails:

1. You make a “wish list” and cross your fingers. As it says in the article, you cannot simply write down a list of wants on New Year’s Day, stick it in a drawer for the rest of the year and wait around for your life to change.

2. Your ideas are as clear as mud. Your goals have to be crystal clear. You have to give clear instructions to your brain in order for it to see and “draw” into your sights what you need to accomplish your goals. Just like the combination on a lock, the digits in a phone number or an ATM code, if it’s off by only one digit it won’t work.

3. You’re all talk. Proclaiming your goal is just the starting point. Now you have to actually draw a map of exactly how you’re going to get there and define the resources you’ll need to arrive safely.

4. You have no “Houston.” The management and control system necessary to operate your plan, keep you on track, measured and monitored through your journey through the unknown needs to be in place and/or accessible.

5. You lack reinforcements. The support and guidance of people and resources you will need along the way for encouragement–and even a kick in the pants–is also key to accomplishing your goals.

During the next eight weeks and 16 installments of this process, I will guide you step-by-step and help you avoid the potential pitfalls to ensure you have the precise formula for achieving the boldest goals and wildest ambitions you can dream up!

In Part 2, I will further outline HOW this program will work and WHY I am doing this. I’ll post the next installment on the eve of the New Year, the eve of the new decade, this Thursday. Until then start dreaming…let your creative imagination run wild!

  1. Insurance was not even a thought for Stephen at this time in
his life. If it does and you’ve found it, please leave me
a comment and prove me wrong. This is where specific website goals come into play.

  2. [...] 18.  Setting Goals Is A Must: I’ve actually received a lot of comments about people disagreeing about the importance of goal setting, but history shows that people who accomplish the most, or accomplish their big freakin’ dream, set some kind of goal. There have been times where I’ve accomplished under 20% of my goals for the year, but I still set them anyway. They are a pre-requisite to the life I envision and will continue to be so. [...]

  3. Darren
where can i find the downloads for the best 10 years? just started and cant find the downloads.

  4. Hi Darren,
I have to say that the video in this post is a constant source of inspiration for me. Whenever I feel that I’m losing track of ‘WHY’ I come back to this post and watch the video. Would you consider uploading it to the Success Magazine channel on YouTube? I’d love to share it on my website.

    Gary

  5. Darrin, I had never read the Harvard study on goal setting but I was not surprised at all with its findings. I am amazed at how quickly I am acheiving my goals since I have started writing them down.

[DARREN HARDY] Making your goals tangible will only help you achieve them, Candice. Kudos to you for taking that important step and starting the rest of your life off right! :)

  6. Hi Darren,
I joined the program late but looking forward to getting started this week.

I am excited to learn the valuable tool of implementing, developing and sticking to achieving my goals. You, Success Magazine and all your wonderful leadership speakers have taken me personally and professionally to levels I never thought possible.

Darren, thank you for your committment and dedication to helping others see and achieve what they never thought posssible.

    Jenyce

  7. Hi Darren, Thank-you so much for teaching all of us interested ones on How to improve our lives. My problem is that I started late and need to start at the beginning, can you tell me how to get started?
    Thanks again

  8. I have really enjoyed reading this is eye opening topic I have been in many different classes on setting goals and leadership skills. and I have not implemented the plan that I should have I am happy I am at this place in my life to realize that I need help and use the new information to make a change

  9. This is really an eye opener for me. I never thought about my long-term goal in the future until I read this article. I guess I just didn’t bother about the WHY in the things that I do. I’m basically the boat that goes with the flow of the tide.

Darren, I really appreciate your kindness in giving this advices for free. I have a pen and paper right on my desk ready to write my goal as clearly as I can.

  10. I sometimes fear to set goals because if I do not accomplish them, I see myself as a failure but your blogs and magazine have given me a spirit of determination to set them and celebrate those that I accomplish. Thank you

[DARREN HARDY] Do not only set your goals, Nnenna, but also set a PLAN to achieve them! Dive in and work this program to discover my secrets to success, including FAILING BIG! Good luck!

  11. Darren, I’m just starting this program on goal setting but i’m having difficulty viewing your videos as my broadband speed is only 500kbps and have to wait a long time for the video to buffer and then about 5 secs of the video is shown and then I have to wait another several minutes for it buffer. Is there any other way I can view your videos continuously without having to wait for it to keep buffering as this is very frustrating? Thank you. Jay.

[MAGGIE SCOTT] So sorry about that, Jay. But unfortunately the only way to view the videos is through the blog or YouTube right now. Stay tuned just in case another delivery method is established in the future.

  12. Hi Darren, Wow- This is a really wonderful present you are giving to the world. I just started with FHTM and am receiving your magazine. Found out about your program late but I see everything is archived. Thank you so much (sent it out to my children and siblings). Looks like a great course. Keep up the great work, Kent

[DARREN HARDY] Glad to have you aboard, Kent! FYI-We are almost done and the materials will not be archived for very much longer so dig in! :)

  13. Thank you Darren for putting in writing what I have been doing all my life but just didn’t realize it. I have been very successful however I am still not independently wealth. So now I know how to get over the edge and make it a reality in my life. I have done every exercise and listened to all your videos and am now ready to be a millionaire/billionaire and make a difference in this world. Yes, I will work harder to bring world peace to fruition. Thank you!

  14. Hello Mr. Hardy,

I’m a little behind everyone in filling out the installments. I’m looking for the first one to do my commitment and review, but don’t seem to find the links. Where can I find them?? I’m really looking forward to learn from your program!

    Thanks,

    Rich

[MAGGIE SCOTT] Hi Rich! The links for all the previous installments are located at the bottom of each email. But I’ll go ahead and get them to you as well to make sure you get all caught up.

  15. Because I am extremely passionate about songwriting, singing and playing music, it gives me a solid reason to get up and go forward. My desire to write and make music makes me feel more alive, everyday. I so enjoy the rush of creativity knowing that it is my enthusiasm (the that which is God within me) running the show. I’m in love with the energy and it drives me onward! In order to realize the fullest potential of this fulfilling experience I need to concentrate my full attention on it everyday. That is WHY I want to achieve the goals I set for making master recordings of all the original songs I complete.

[DARREN HARDY] Great passion, Philip! Thanks for sharing your goal here with us, it will definitely help hold you more accountable!

  16. I have been reading Success for two yrs. and have many cd’s and dvd’s from Success Institute which I use in automobile University and to improve my life. I purchased 10 copies of Design your best year ever for myself and gifts to family and friends for Christmas. You and your materials have made a significant change in my life and I thank you immensely for all you are doing to help people improve their lives. Keep up the good work, you are doing a great job.

  17. Had a rare spare evening so have managed to put some effective time to the 2nd installment. Didn’t like it at first as being a Success subscriber and reader of many books of a positive nature I found writing my obituary and only having 24 hours to live a little disturbing and strange! Anyway got past that and it actually highlighted some good things in the later exercises.

5 hours later I have managed to finish the last exercise and write my vision statement I am a bit concerned it is a little long (5 paragraphs) but felt like the pen was flowing at this stage so just kept going and didn’t really want to cut out any of the things I had come up with.

Looking forward to the next installment and for the next magazine to come through the letterbox, thanks very much for providing this material it is a great thing to do at the start of a new decade!

    Regards
    Justin

  18. I’ve completing the first six worksheets and now have read this page. I’m working backwards. I wonder if I graze over the issues that are important at times (most times) to avoid the real work at the root, it feels like I’m missing the point sometimes. The info above is really meaningful, and helping me to see things clearly. I can’t wait to delve deeper into the program. Thank you.

  19. Filled out the first and second packets and were they interesting! Many of those questions were very difficult to answer, having never even thought about them before. Writing my own obituary was put off until last, and then it was quite easy. Prior to that, it wasn’t working. That sample values list was very helpful to keep me on point instead of searching and searching. Thank you for that nice touch.

Thank you for your generosity in sharing this process and for having thought it through so well. I’ve shared it on my blogs and twitter and facebook and through emails to many, many others.

I must also say, that having been a Success magazine reader from a long way back, what you’ve done with it is nothing short of superb. I absolutely look forward to receiving it and the audio and cannot seem to throw them away. Keep up the awesome, leading edge work!

  20. Darren
I was fortunate to hear you in person and I just got through reviewing my notes for the “Gameplan event with Beachbody at Dana Point. Your talk on attitude being the catalyst really hit home and look forward to working again with you.
    Thanks
    Steve

  21. I’m not getting your “Best 10 Years” Course through the RSS feed (Feedburner). I’m able to get only by a lot of pushing and shoving… do you have something to help me figure out how to get things via Feedburner? I did get the original lesson but not the second one. I’ve now also signed up in my gmail account to see if that works.

Thanks for your help! Great contecnt!

[DARREN HARDY] I’m sending help, my friend!

  22. Thank you Darren for providing this program. I am looking forward to your insight and what insights into myself will opened.

  23. Hey there-I’ve read and always re-reading Nepoleon Hills “Think and Grow Rich”. I’m supper excited because over the past 6 months I’ve slowly been introduced to multiple people that exercise the points in his book. I’m about to start your books and can’t wait. I feel it deep that 2010 is going to be a pivotal year for me. Thanks in advance for sharing your knowledge! Have a great 2010 too!

  24. This course takes focused time with each lesson. That’s a huge positive unless you are hoping for fast food self development which never satisfies. Maybe this is why I have at times given up on personal goals. Not because I do not have the talent, skill sets, dream, want, and even purpose. But because everything I desire I can get almost immediately from the internet.
With self development, it’s a process. Incorrect behaviors are not changed, (for the most part) overnight but with consistent ‘mental’ and physical work.

  25. Hi!

I registered for this today, is there a possibility to get previous material now?

    Aynur Akpinar

    Sweden

[DARREN HARDY] Of course! I’ll have them sent to you asap. :)

  26. Darren, the info about the Harvard study is false. I know! I would LOVE it was real, but it is not! Mark McCormick was wrong!

BUT, even if it is not real, it could be!

    Aldo Novak
    Brazil

  27. Hello. I have not received any materials yet and I registered a few days ago. I am excited about this program and look forward to starting.

[DARREN HARDY] Hannah, I’ll forward this along to make sure you get the materials and the info needed to make sure you are registered correctly.

  28. Isn’t it amazing how Success leaves clues? Thank you Darren for
your generousity!!! I’m excited about Life Change!!

  29. Just signed up one day late. How do I get 1/5 email and materials? Thanks!

[DARREN HARDY] You should get the first installment included in the next one, due out Thursday evening, so you won’t miss a thing!

  30. Thank you Darren….I can see why you are so successful! You don’t have to
do this, but I am excited about the program!

  31. I just recently discovered SUCCESS magazine and I am inspired by it. I have been looking for something that will provide me with inspiration and direction for acheiving a successful career. Thanks

  32. excellent. very practical tipe and suggestions. If we implement these things we can achieve any goal- congratulations- sashibhushan

  33. This is very exciting. I have had an experience in my life/career where I set a 10 year goal and achieved it. I wasn’t completely financially successful with it for some reason although I loved what I was doing and was a pioneer in my field. I’d like to see if learning this method could offer both financial and personal success.

  34. Darren, I am 67 years old and I have had a great career. I was always great at setting goals and measurements for my career and various companies I have worked for. However, I now know that my goals did not include the full spectrum of my life such as spiritual, love life, and personal growth. I look forward to the process to help salvage the remainder of my life

  35. Super excited about the series. I love your magazine and am just finding your blog for the first time.

Re: the Harvard study you cited, Fast Company did a story on it recently and found that it didn’t exist. There’s more information about the study not existing (but also showing clear evidence that goal setting is the way to greatness) here: http://sidsavara.com/personal-productivity/fact-or-fiction-the-truth-about-the-harvard-written-goal-study

I have my SMART goals written out, an accountability group with my Mastermind team and I look forward to your series.

  36. Thank you in advance for your generousity in presenting this series in such a unique way…your magazine is simply an inspiration…you are providing a wonderful service…can’t wait to get started this Tuesday!

    Bob in Las Vegas

  37. I was at a book signing–my own book, when I happened to see Success Magazine on the shelf. I was intrigued because very few business magazines have a cover photo of a black woman. I continued on with my book signing but when it was over I bought a copy of the magazine. I now have a subscription, and have been in love with the magazine ever since! I am also looking forward to designing the best 10 years of my life!

  38. Thank You Darren! I am grateful for the opportunity. I look forward to this workshop. it is definitely something I can use. See you for the next 8 weeks.

  39. I look forward to empower myself through your knowledge and strongly desire to return something of equal or greater value to you one day. Thanks Darren.

    Deep

  40. Very interesting and unique way of sharing and motivating everyone to be at its best. Darren……… Keep up the good work.

  41. This sounds to be too good to be true. I definitely need help in goal setting and goal achieving. Thanks a lot.
    Neal

  42. I am also ready for this program. I already know this will complement the lessons I learned from other masters like Jim Rohn (RIP) and Tony Robbins.

Regards from the Caribbean island curacao.com

2010 definitely will be MY YEAR !!

  43. Darren,

I am ready to write down clear goals for 2010 and for the next 10 years. I love Success Magazine and I look forward to hearing more about this program.

  44. Tracy’s questions was how this was going to work. Is it a certain time each week?
    How do we plan ahead?

    thanks! ;-)

[DARREN HARDY] Yes, each Tuesday and Thursday by noon Pacific time each installment will be up. Plan on it! :-)

  45. I love enthusiasm and believe that striving for specific things (goal setting) can be very beneficial. I abhor the misinformation being presented in support of goal setting. There is no evidence of any Harvard 1979 – 1989 goal setting study that I could find! I know it sounds really impressive; but the lack of truth (or evidence) regarding that study is such a huge impediment to my taking other astounding pronouncements at face value that I am throttling back considerably in my expectations of results from goal setting.

I am so disenchanted! Darren, do you have any proof of the existence of the study? Please publish it to put my doubts to rest. Alternatively, please recant that part of your assertions and stick to verifiable ones. Thank you. I still enjoy reading your threads.

  46. I am so thankful for you – QUESTION – when we start will you block off time each week because it is live? ( I ask this because last year I did the Oprah web-cast live and each Monday for an hour I was there). I would do that for you – BUT is this up to us to plan our week to take the course? You provide and we work it in?

I am so ready! Lets go!

  47. This is right on TIME and on PURPOSE for me — I look forward to getting started. I have achieved a 10 year list of GOALS and need to POWER-UP again.

  48. I am a mom, grandma, wife, student and career lady…lots of roles to juggle. I am going to share this with my grown children and husband and make it a family affair…we can keep each other accountable and be one another’s support and encouragement…I can’t think of anyone I would rather have as my support system than my family. Thank you so much for offering this to us for free and I hope we can all take advantage of your generosity to design the best years of our lives.
May God bless us all as we set new goals for ourselves in this new year.

  50. Thanks for doing this for free. Like Yvonna I need to have something to give me the drive and the why I need to set a goal this year. I seem to be in limbo for the past year and really need some motivation. This should be a good one. Thank you.

  51. I missed you at the ACN convention in Anaheim but everyone said you were so right on they so enjoyed you ..I’m looking forward to taking the Goal setting course Thank You

  52. Dear Darren,
I’m very happy to be one of your “students” in 2010. Although I can’t get the Success Magazine in Germany, I try to read it online as often as I can. Now I’m realy curious, what will happen in my life, which has to change!!!!
Thank’s a lot and for you and all your “students”: Happy new year and all the best for everyone.
    Christine

  53. Thank you Darren, I’m really looking forward to this.

I saw you live for the first time in CA. just a few weeks ago, loved every minute.
I love the Success Magazine too, and look forward to it coming every month.

Thank You for doing this for us it means alot.

    Happy New Year.

  54. Darren:

I saw you in Dallas & you were awesome. I have tried various goal setting techniques & although they may have worked to some degree, I am excited about your program & am looking forward to having the Best Year Ever. Your book will be part of my permanent library.

    Happy New Year!

  55. Hi! Am so excited about learning of this program from the CD last month. I,too, like Yvonna, am hoping this will give me a clear direction ! I am amazed that this is available for free!! And the timing is perfect for me. Thank You!

  56. Darren,
Since I started re-reading Success Magazine I’ve been laid off from the shrinking auto industry but, It has opened up an entirely new path and I’m studying to transition to a new career, Success guides me each month and I feel that it’s a great tool to use.

    Thanks again

  57. After witnessing your training in Anaheim earlier this month and now this, I truly feel 2010 is going to be a much better year. You have no idea how big my WHY really is! I will keep this in focus all through your training. Thank you so much for this opportunity! God Bless

  58. Thank you,
I have spent my life wandering, looking for direction. I am greatly encouraged by your magazine, your blog, and by this program. This could be the push that I need.

  59. The way you have changed Success magazine has inspired me tremendously. It has become my main source for business and inspirational information and ideas. I cannot wait to join you on this goal setting journey.
    Thanks,
    John

  60. This is the defining moment where I am stating my intent.
I can’t wait to FOCUS in on my own future.
Thanks for all you have done to this point in preparing the material we will cover.

  61. your articles very educative.how and where can i get success magazine around my area.

    thanks-Amaechi Eze.

  62. Great work Darren. And thanks for sowing it as a seed into the life of others. Goal setting helps us o have something to move towards, which is more empowering than wanting to drift from something. Look forward to the series. Shalom

  63. Yes, your goal setting series is something that I am eagerly anticipating. This is an area where I need lots of work. I don’t want to be like that brilliant gentleman you described that can barely make ends meet. This must be my best year ever!

  64. Darren,

Picking up success magazine encouraged me to move forward in life and I am so excited about this oppurtunity in learning to set goals.

  65. Love the magazine and the CD/DVD’s! I think, at least for me, goal setting is harder now that the kids are grown, I’ve had several careers and am not as certain as I was about my direction now. I had goals for the children, for our income, for our family. Mostly achieved! I need to set goals again but it doesn’t seem as urgent now. How can this course get me set on the right path again?

  66. Darren,

I know they are in for the Best Year of Their Lives! After the Bible, I recommend your book, Design Your Best Year Ever as one that will transform your life for the better! It’s the best goal achieving information out there. It has been a tremendous year after reading it in January 2009. It has been my best year yet! I can’t wait for 2010!

WOW! Buckle get ready for the ride of your life! It’s going to be fun, however, as Darren said it is going to take dedication, commitment & action! Success is for everyone, yet success isn’t for everyone. It is for the ones that will decide and commit to their success. Unfortunately, most people never do that in their lifetime.

Here’s to Design Your Best Year Ever!
More Importantly, Having Your Best Year Ever!

Thanks Darren for all that you do!

  67. Darren,
I look forward to following the program – setting my goals has always been something I know I should do but have never done, maybe the start of a new decade is a good time to get my act into gear!
    Thanks for the opportunity
    Maxine

  68. Great timing to read your information, I have to find a job for survival ( food & rent ). I couldn’t understand why I am doing everything BUT search for work, in this quiet period!
The above has helped and I look forward to working with you on my goals.

    blessings from Sydney, Australia.

  69. I started reading SUCCESS this time last year, and it made a huge difference throughout 2009. However, I feel as though it has simply primed me to reach the tipping point at which I now find myself. With Og’s scrolls on hand to be repeated each day, Napolean Hill’s “Think & Grow Rich” always within reach, SUCCESS cd’s in the car, and now this program to assist with practical application, this year and this decade will undoubtedly be unlike anything I’ve experienced before…Thanks!

  70. I was looking for an opportunity like this! Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge and experience. I am ready and committed to design my best year ever as a beginning of the rest of my life.

    Sincerely,

    Soraya
