Review: INTRO, GETTING READY & PARTS 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
On your journey to achieving your goals, this one shift in your mindset can radically change how the world around you responds to and receives you.
The process of goal-setting can make you very myopic and ‘ME’-focused. If we really want to get what we want, we have to remember one of the oldest success principles: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” Or as Zig Ziglar puts it: “You can have everything in life that you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want.”
What if that is true?
What if you knew for sure that everything you gave you would receive back tenfold? How much would you give? What would you give? How fast would you give it?
What do you want? What attributes do you need to accomplish your goals?
Do you need more courage? Who can you encourage?
Do you need more strength? Who can you help strengthen?
Do you need more belief? Who can you believe in?
Do you need more confidence? Who can you instill confidence in?
Do you need more love? Who can you love?
In the last installment we discovered what you needed to become to accomplish your extraordinary and ambitious goals. You might have looked back at the list and thought, But how? How can I be more confident, more courageous, bolder, happier, more positive, stronger… if I don’t feel that way?
This is how: Give what you need, give what you want. What you give to others, you give to yourself. And the added bonus is somehow it multiplies itself back to you.
I once had an employee we’ll call Suze. During a review it was identified that she lacked the self-confidence necessary for her to adequately perform her job responsibilities. I could have told her all the positive attributes she had and what I admired about her to boost her self-esteem (I did that anyway), but I knew that wouldn’t work. Others had probably tried before. I knew she needed to give what she was lacking to someone else in order to experience the transformation.
I asked Suze whom she knew who also suffered from a lack of self-confidence. The only person she could think of was a girl who lived a few doors down from her (let’s call her “Mia”). I asked Suze to spend time with the girl and see if she could help her improve her self-esteem. After talking with Mia about her interests and how she spent her time, Suze learned the young girl played soccer, but was too timid to excel at it. Suze was a former all-state soccer player in school and committed herself to tutoring the girl in the sport a few evenings a week.
Suze not only spent time coaching Mia in soccer, but she also talked with her about other aspects of her life. As a result, the Mia’s soccer performance improved dramatically, and her self-esteem was significantly boosted because of the interest Suze showed in her life. Witnessing this transformation, Suze felt valued, important and saw the difference she could make in another person’s life. Her own self-esteem expanded in spectacular fashion. She became one of my most successful public relations agents and went on to many other successes.
In the download documents, I want you to decide what key attributes you need to accomplish your big, hairy and audacious goals; then figure out how you can go about giving that very thing away to others.
When you look at the world with an eye toward how you can give, instead of simply focusing on what you can get, the thing you desire will beat a path to your door.

If someone is looking for help in an area, or if someone is willing to offer their help, you can announce that in the comment section below. I want this to be a forum where you can dialogue with each other and support each other. Please post only sincere commitments to serve and give, and not agenda-driven solicitations. They will be deleted.
Now we have all the pieces to the puzzle and a clear view of what the end picture is supposed to look like. The next installment focuses on the development of the plan of action—the step-by-step process of doing and achieving all that we have laid out thus far.

26/Jan/2010 2One of the areas that I have had the most trouble with is being consistent in my efforts and routines. I can do well for a short period of time, but then become bored with doing the same thing over and over, at that time I typically start to self-sabotage by procrastinating so that I am behind and have some pressure to perform. If anyone can offer advice on how to overcome or maybe it’s something you are experiencing as well and we can work through it together. It will be greatly appreciated. I am committed to overcoming this change and making the next 10 years the best yet.
[DARREN HARDY] Best way Shane is to track your key disciplines so you can see (and appreciate) your small victories… then celebrate big - small victories, big celebrations. At the end of the week, how can you celebrate a week of consistent discipline? Get others involved, find a peak performance partner, etc. I will cover some of these concepts in future installments… stand by!

26/Jan/2010 3Cannot wait to get the worksheets for the next installment into my hot little hands.
Giving is such a vital part of life, and an area where I have fallen woefully short in the past. Yes I have been selfish guy, of that there is no doubt. But, I believe that my weaknesses are often times just strengths waiting to be developed. How awesome is that? As selfish and self-centered as I have been in the past, I can be equally generous and selfless in the future.
This is the specific area where a great many of my goals reside, and where I am choosing to devote much of my energy as I move forward, so I am really excited about diving into this next assignment.

26/Jan/2010 4Hi Darren! I am totally enjoying this series. I am a couple of sheets behind but working to get caught up tonight. In response to your message on people willing to help, I would love to extend an invitation to all the women (sorry guys) to become a part of the ministry that I lead called God’s Uttermost Woman. The website is http://www.uttermostwoman.com and we have a fanpage on Facebook as well. The ministry has been in existence since 2007. If any woman wants to grow in their individual faith journey, this Christian empowerment ministry is for you. I have a heart for seeing woman become all that God intended for them to be after living a defeated life myself for far too long. Now, I want to share all that I’ve been given with women who are looking to go to the next level, live life on purpose and defeat destructive behaviors. I believe in “lifting as we climb”. God bless!

26/Jan/2010 5I have been a goal setter for years with mixed results, so the lesson on what we have to become to reach our goals was a real eye-opener for me. I had never considered that in such detail before. Needless to say, I had some “Eureka” moments. By combining the lessons here with what I have learned from your previous series, “Workaholics Anonymous,” I am absolutely certain that I am heading for a banner year. I cannot thank you enough for sharing this information.

26/Jan/2010 7Finally I think I am beginning to learn what life is all about. OTHERS! I don’t think I have ever been happier than taking the focus off my self and offering encouragement and motivation to others. To see them encouraged and helped has helped to create a self confidence within, a challenge that I have dealt with all my life. The more I give to others, whether it’s time, money, etc., the more I can see myself growing and developing a new confidence within.
Thanks for this article as it confirms the way to happiness!!
[DARREN HARDY] Awesome realization, Nelda! Thanks for sharing it with us!!!

26/Jan/2010 8This is an interesting concept. I’ve known the Scripture quoted but never quite thought about it in that way. Looking forward to getting the download tonight to look more into this. Thanks for giving us this opportunity to grow!

26/Jan/2010 9First I’ll leave a question then I will offer my help in someone here would want it.
Question: One of the 3 main goals I narrowed down to is to give a specific amount of money to my church this year and over the next 10 years. In order to achieve these goals I will have to substantially increase my income which this process is going to do no doubt. Is it correct to call that a goal? Or si something coming out in the exercise tonight that will cover that?
My offer to anyone who would want it: If anyone has a goal of losing weight or building muscle I have been doing a program for the past 120 days that has been amazing for me. It is basic and boring (as far as the diet goes) and very challenging workouts. But it has worked very well and can all be done at home.
I’m not going to sell you a product just tell you what I did. Let me know.
To everyone’s success.
Doug
[DARREN HARDY] Yes! And that is a great goal with great motivation behind it.
Rich
26/Jan/2010 10Over the last few years I’ve read tons of self help books on success, goal setting, etc and they’ve definitely helped but I can sense that this program is gonna be “it.” Thus far it’s incredibly thought out, organized and most importantly, efficient. I’m truly grateful and gotta thank Darren for that. Personally, the timing couldn’t be better as I recently sold most of my belongings and moved from the east coast to LA in order to pursue my dream as a fine artist–a VERY challenging line of work to say the least. I’m wondering if affirmations will be covered in future installments? I’m a big believer in them along with meditation and visualization as they were instrumental in finally getting me to California, a dream I’ve had since childhood (I’m in my late 30s). I wish all of you the best and know this is gonna be huge for Success Magazine by this time next year. There’s not doubt I’ll be renewing my subscription.

26/Jan/2010 11I have great difficulty calling people on the phone, customers when I had my gardening business and others, especially when I think I will be interrupting them, bothering them or having to ask them for something. I especially have the problem when I think there will be even the slightest chance of negative confrontation. I will procrastinate calling the person until I feel really bad about myself and worse about calling them.
If anyone has any suggestions on what I can do to get over this I would appreciate it. Thanks!
[DARREN HARDY] Tracy, I’ve been asked this question a thousand times or more and my answer is always the same: Nietzsche said, “Do the thing and you will have the power”. The power will be gained by doing. Take action, then more action, then more and more and more… and eventually you will get better and better and… the confidence will build and you will be what you want. Thinking idly will not. Go DO… that is my best advice. Don’t over think it, just do it.

26/Jan/2010 12Woooow! What a great story! Very inspiring!
For many years I was eager to learn, to change my life, to find courage. I attended many workshops, read books, listened to CD, worked hard. The one thing I was very afraid of was to get involved, and give time away, I also felt I had nothing interesting to give or share. Just like the Dead Sea I received (I even compare myself to vampire of learning, ’sucking’ someone I admired knowledge!) but couldn’t give. And then I began to feel miserable. I couldn’t get it, I had all these wonderful motivational speakers, I nearly knew the CD by heart!
I quite my job, sold my furniture and arrived in Santa Fe, with only one thing in mind: having my own company and giving back. I created a non profit organization, against all ‘good advisers’ and create a whole community around it. I received so much! I thought I was giving, but yes the more I gave the more I received, and it continue to pour in my life today! I feel bless and so thankful.
Last year I decided it was time to create my own ‘profitable’ company this time. And although I do encounter many challenges, it’s been extremely rewarding. I witnessed changes and powerful connection. And each time I come back from being with clients, I am full of energy, motivate, thrill, grateful. They are the ones who give me the most!
Thank you Darren for giving so much and Sharing!
Rich
26/Jan/2010 13Hi Tracy, what’s happening is that you’re anticipating a negative outcome which leads to fear, procrastination, etc. One way to get over it is to practice visualizing the desired out come down to the last detail. It’s all about replacing negative thoughts with positive ones because the mind can’t think two things at once. Also, positive thoughts are many times more powerful than negative ones. With my business, I’ve found that approaching my calls with a mindset of “service” helps a great deal. Calling and asking how I can help is a lot easier than asking for something. It takes practice but soon enough the fear will decrease through repetition.
Nathalie Bonnard-Grenet
26/Jan/2010 14I am in the process of creating a mastermind group in my area (Santa Fe, NM) with a friend, I already put many ideas down for this group to empower every member.
But I’d love to have some help/guidance to ensure this will be at the best benefit of all the members. I guess I need help on leadership?
I do need courage, so if I can help someone to be courageous, please let me know.
Nathalie Bonnard-Grenet
26/Jan/2010 15Great Advice Rich to Tracy!
Yes Tracy you certainly have so much to offer. My advice would be never delay or procrastinate, Jump in the water, with a mindset of service, as Rich said. Take a deep breath before calling, “Feel the fear…and do it anyway” - From Susan Jeffers (book)
Be bold! You might be surprise at the great outcome!
The more difficulty or fear you have to call, the fastest you need to get action. So this doesn’t drain you and you won’t feel guilty, you will be proud and get more and more courage, and ready to move forward! Next call!
Have you call someone yet! do it now! Jump! and Enjoy.

26/Jan/2010 16Tracy, Jeffrey Gitomer, who I found out about through Success, is a master in this area. Look him up on this Success site and I’m sure his videos on here will help you. He is Da Man, next to Darren of course
[DARREN HARDY] Great advice, April! You can find more about Jeffrey Gitomer and read some of his articles here: http://www.successmagazine.com/expert?authorId=45

26/Jan/2010 17This series has been AWESOME. Thanks again Darren for offering this class. It has opened my eyes to many new things. I am so glad that the next topic is about helping others. I feel that my strengths are in helping others. The feeling that you get is amazing. Prior to Christmas I was not in the right frame of mind, after reading an article about the need for the food pantry, I went to work. I was able to buy the food pantry much needed food for very little money by using my other strength saving money. It was an incredible feeling to be able to go to the pantry with 20 plus bags of food and know that I was helping someone else. This act alone turned my frame of mind around. I was grateful to be able to help. It is sometimes easier to help others than to help yourself. But it definitely takes the focus off of you but in the end it ends up helping you.
Darren thanks again and I can’t wait to get my email to see the gift that you are giving us tonight.

This is a wonderful program. I like to print the explanations of each part; I have Part 1 through Part 4. I have not been able to print Parts 5, 6 or 7; I’m not sure why I can’t get those to print.
Thanks.

[MAGGIE SCOTT] Hi Elaine! I’ll be in touch very soon so we can hopefully get this figured out for you.

26/Jan/2010 22Anxious to continue with this process (Part 7 Give what you want) — but having technical problems.
All the previous emails prior to January 26, had the link: CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD WORKSHEET X (X being 1 to 6) in the body of the email. Today’s (January 26) email did not have the link to get worksheet 7 — and this webpage (at the top) also does not have the link for worksheet 7.
[MAGGIE SCOTT] Hi Deborah, yes, all the previous emails had a direct link to each worksheet. This week we decided it would be easier to have one central location for you to log into to download the worksheets…only we seem to be having technical difficulties. But we’re on it so stay tuned and we’ll keep you posted!

26/Jan/2010 27Darren - First, thanks for sharing this with all of us. It is really life-changing.
Second, on Jan 19, comment was posted referring to “The Eight Levels of Charity” by Maimonides. I have tried to find it in the archives, but have not been successful (yet). Could you direct me to the correct location. Seems it would be really timely in the “Giving” portion of this part. Thank you. Charlotte

26/Jan/2010 30Hi Darren, I am loving the course, but in this e-mail, the link to download the worksheet #7 is not availalbe on the website. How else can I get access to the worksheet? I also went into the archive and it has worksheets 1 through 6

26/Jan/2010 31I click on the online archive, but it says nothing is there, is there a trick to this?
I have so appreciated all the worksheets, I have discovered so much about myself and am so excited for the Best 10 years!!!

26/Jan/2010 32If you go to worksheet #6 from your previous e-mail, look at the web address and change the 6 to a 7 and refresh you can get the new worksheet.

26/Jan/2010 33Thank you so much for this valuable information. I am working on the worksheets and have seen things that are helping me to balance my life. I really think that what you said about balance is so true. I can be really good in one area and than procrastinate in other areas of my life because I don’t do them as well or don’t enjoy them as much. I need to be more balanced in all areas. All of these excercises really help to see the whole picture.
I also could not download the worksheet for #7. I am looking forward to getting it soon.

26/Jan/2010 34When I go to the archives to print worksheet 7, I get this message:

26/Jan/2010 36Hey Brett - You are awesome - That totally worked!
Darren - Seriously, this is the BEST program I have ever experienced. Although I’m still waiting on some feedback for the SWOT, I pushed forward without all the info and I’m all caught up. I feel empowered to be the person I always wanted to be! Look out world!!!!

26/Jan/2010 47Darren- I am really enjoying getting to the bottom of what makes me the person I am. All of your worksheets so far have uncovered new and interesting aspects of myself I thought were long gone or non-existent. I really was looking ofrward to today’s worksheet. Imagine my surprise to find nothing available! The link takes me to nowhere, and I really have spent plenty of time there. Please help.

26/Jan/2010 50Often I struggle with not consistently doing the things I know I need to do to achieve the level of success I want. When I think back to the times that I have been more consistent I realized it was due to a couple of things. Firstly, I would write out each day what I needed to accomplish- identifying the top 3-5 things. I tend to do a even better job if I indicate specifically when I will I do it. For example, make customer calls between 1-2 pm; edit reports between 2-3 pm, etc. This helps to keep me on track as I tend to loose track of time or get distracted and start doing something else.
The second thing I have found helpful is “huddling”. Huddling involves you partnering with someone and the two of you determining daily, weekly or as often as you pre-determine to review what you each need to accomplish over a specified period of time. At the end of that time you review what has been accomplished. If you did not accomplish all that you had agreed to, you determine what the obstacles were and how they could/can be overcome. I find I do a better job when I am held accountable. It also feels good to know that there is someone else interested in your success and you in theirs.
Anybody want to huddle?
[DARREN HARDY] Great advice, Diamond! Thanks so much for sharing these words of wisdom with everyone here.
Caroline
26/Jan/2010 51What can I say that most haven’t already?
Thanks Brett!
John
26/Jan/2010 52Tracy, Great advice above from Rich, Nathalie and April. To expand on that I would like to add for you to change your perspective before each call. Seems to me coming from a place of fear and lack of self esteem. Know that you business provides valuable services and benefits to your customers. They want and need to hear from you. As one of my favorites Wayne Dyer says “Change the way you look at things and the things you look at change”
Darren, You are living proof of today’s lesson! Words can not describe how thankful I am for all that you do!

26/Jan/2010 53Good evening! I have been thoroughly enjoying this process as this has enabled to get back on track with my goals and I am excited what my journey will bring me as I know some big changes WILL be happening in my life as my son goes off to college in 7 years. However, I was not able to get to the link and put the password and instead got a blank page with this message

Melanie
26/Jan/2010 56Does anyone have the link that Brett is referring to that will access the worksheet #7?
I joined the program this week and therefore I do not have the previous e-mail that Brett is referring to.
Thanks
NADINE
26/Jan/2010 57I was finally able to get to the link and I used the following link based on a previous comment to change it to a change but the thing is that my link was too fast so I had to keep clicking till I could read the actual link. Go to
http://www.success.com/pdf/db10_worksheet_set_7.pdf
Good luck and it was only 1 page but that is more than enough because you have to work on 3 things and potentially find 3 different mentees….

26/Jan/2010 58Melanie - I tried to post the link twice but I get the message “Your comment is awaiting moderation. ” So apparently no one else can see it. Try this, only actually type the directions in parenthesis:

26/Jan/2010 63Wow! this is amazing to see all the comments! I guess this is exactly what it is about!
It is certainly no chance or Accident that this download didn’t work!
Helping each other to grow!
Thks for you comment #56 Brett I have been able to get it!
What a wonderful support team you all made! and in such a short time! thanks.
[DARREN HARDY] Nice to see someone have a positive experience from a “challenging” situation! And what would you say if I claimed to have planned this little error? Well, I didn’t but sure glad some good has come from it!

26/Jan/2010 64For Nathalie Bonnard-Grenet and anyone else who relates no to a negative experience. O.K. to everyone including me!! There is a book out recently called “Go for NO” authors Fenton & Waltz. It looks at NO as the means to getting everything you want from life. It addresses why we perceive no as negative and helps us to reprogram our false beliefs about NO. Fear after all is only False Expectations Appearing Real. Hope that is helpful. G.
Ursula
26/Jan/2010 65Nadine’s link worked… Thankss a lot!

26/Jan/2010 66Hey Darren,
Thanks again for putting this together!! Can’t wait for the next worksheets! This has been a great and eye opening experience thus far.
Thank you,

26/Jan/2010 67Nathalie, I love your comment! I came on here to see if anyone else was having trouble accessing the worksheets too. Looks like everyone is having the same problem as I am. Hopefully the link will work soon.

26/Jan/2010 68I am offering to partner with other peak performers who are seriously committed to their BHAG. The area that I will help encourage is being consistent in our efforts and routines and monitor and measure results on a consistent basis by staying focused.
Theses performers will have no quit and would love to be held accountable and together we go in the development of the plan into action and make this “crunch time” so lets give each other courage, strength and belief and make a powerful change for the best years ahead.

26/Jan/2010 69Charlotte,
If you put “Eight Levels of Charity” in Dogpile, it pulls up a Jewish Web site (look for the one that has a .org extension) that gives the list. Apparently, it is a Jewish teaching.
Hope that helps!
[DARREN HARDY] Thanks for the help, Polly!

I have your exact same problem and have procrastinated to do somehting that is vital for my business. I feel very good communicating through e-mails, but I find the way not to call people for the same reasons you do. I have tried some times to overcome the feeling and it feels good when you can, but it’s very difficult to be consistent as we need. I don’t know how to help you, but I know we need to get out of our comfort zone.
I’m very thankful for this opportunity and for the many contributions to this great purpose: to plan as never before our life and have a clear idea of where are we going.
Thanks Darren for your precious “giving” and thanks to all
Liliana
26/Jan/2010 71Moe,
I like your idea! I need all those qualities. How do we do it? I haven’t finished yet my exercises, but planning to finish between tonight and tomorrow.

26/Jan/2010 72It sounds like Shane is telling my story. I get so excited when I am encouraging others to accompolish their dreams and goals. This have been my strengths through out my life. I just get stuck when it comes to encouraging me. My thoughts tend to wonder after a while. I am learning to become the type of person I want to attrack. Success Magazine have been amazing, still one on one support would help even more. I put procrastination in my past. It’s just not back far enough. If I was working with someone who had my issues, I would suggest a daily shcedule and have them check off the things they have accompolished at the end of each day, rewrite the unfinish things on the schedule for the next day. Why can’t I follow through with my own advice? I am tired of leading from behind. I too could use a partner. Ten years from now, I would like to look back and say to my self, “Job well done.” I AM COMMITTED to the next ten yrs the very best!
[DARREN HARDY] I am sure you are not alone on this one, Yvonne! You are already taking a huge step toward your next ten years by keeping with this program so kudos to you! STAY committed and you most definitely will make the next ten years your very best!

26/Jan/2010 73Thanks Daren for this reminder of not being me focused. Doing for others actually make me happier and and bouts my courage. No one single person had it all together in life. You will find out that the people you are helping had something to add to the richness of your life. With this in mind, let us join hands to relief the misery in Haiti in any way we can.
Christianah.

26/Jan/2010 74Yvonne Green-FL I read your post and wonder if I wrote it! That is me exactly. Perhaps we can get together and work on holding each other accountable with the daily tasks we need to accomplish to keep us moving forward in the best 10 years of our lives! Let me know if you are interested in a Peak Performance Partner

Moe
26/Jan/2010 76Yvonne, perhaps Darren can start a group forum for everyone on here?
Crunch time is “Action” no more procrastination . Action is where all the action is going to be, each and every accountable action will be rewarding.
It takes courage to take action, getting over fear with courage, lets join hands with a serious commitment.

27/Jan/2010 86SHANE- Thats you the guy who responded first - I HEAR YOU - your words of “self-sabotage” - are my goal of completion this year for me. Changing this behaviour is the BIGGEST TASK I have ever taken on - giving birth - marriage of 20 years my own business - nothing compares to those words of self-sabotage. GET IT
I have started to tackle this head on - first thing - forgive myself -forgive myself - forgive myself. I keep saying this. When I do a great job - I complete a task - I physically get excited - I dance - scream YA HOO - I jump up and down - I make myself go to that place of satisfaction and self approval. YES YES YES
Right now I am extreme - but my kids & husband understand this is key and well they are helping me. Soon it will be soft and gentle - but for 25 years I have been killing the dreams with my self-sabotage arrows - so extreme is key.
If you want -to support me I will support you. I was thinking we could tweet each other - I am really working on this social media - via Guy’s interview Darren and I am trying. PLUS it needs to be quick & simple and to the point - (for me - I carry on) Yes good job - keep on track - are we done those sheets? As well it is live - so throwing out the energy at the time it is happening - well lets just deal with it now- seems a direct hit!
If your in - my tweeter account is noseknowsnose - mention Darren and I will know it is you. Do not have an account - set one up its free. Anyone else in for praise and excitement - join the NON-self-sabotage - tweets!

27/Jan/2010 88I am unable also to down load link 7 it ask to copy “Please enter the characters displayed in the box. If you are unable to see the text clearly, you may reload this window for a new image.” but the image is just a box with a ? mark. Thanks

27/Jan/2010 89I am with everyone else - this has been a FABULOUS exercise. It has really gotten me to THINK about some things. The 360 exercise has helped highlight something I think I already knew, but it is something that came up in the responses I got from the people I asked the questions.
I am working with a self confidence issue. A lack of it — which holds me back from being authentic. Because I avoid getting into “conflict” I will not speak up, I will not back up my opinions and I hold back from doing things that will carry me forward. This is self sabbotage as well!
Will connect to Tracy via twitter. Anyone can feel free to do that with me as well, I am ritefrmtheheart.

27/Jan/2010 96Darren, thank you for opening up this type of learning forum; I have been challenged by the worksheets in every area of my life. I have been challenged to look at myself in a new light. Here is my issue: I know I have great qualities, I know that I am intelligent, beautiful, etc…; but it has been hard for me to use these attributes to further myself in my career. Each year I have progressively increased my income (through God’s grace and my work ethic) but I haven’t quite achieved my goals. I do realize that I have to learn how to market myself more and allow that great confidence to shine bright? How do I do authentically? I am ready to move to the next level but how do I catapult myself there?
[DARREN HARDY] Who you need to become and the actions you need to take should become apparent by end of this week…and additionally supported next week.
Pam Ginther
27/Jan/2010 97God Bless you Darren for this study, This program has really given me the opportunity to clearly define what it is I think about on a daily basis. Gods word teaches us that what a man THINKETH so shall he become. Our thoughts play a large part in this however it is not until our thoughts line up with our hearts that the real picture becomes clear. What are our hearts telling us, what are our passions and compassions? I would like to share another website that is working along with the information you have given us and this might help others as well to bring everything full circle. The Internet is huge and we are all connected by this increadable tool. Wisdom of the world is available to us and now through the power of the internet we have the ability to connect to it in a much greater way!
God Bless and make it a JOYFUL DAY!

27/Jan/2010 98We have set clear goals and action plans. The most important part of this journey is to FOLLOW THROUGH the action plans and make sure WE DO WHAT WE SAY WE WILL DO and achieve our personal mission.
One way to overcome procrastination and achieve our highest goal is to find accountablility partners. I am Tibetan but I am now living in Toronto, Canada and would love to find accountability partner in Toronto if anyone is interested. Please contact me at karma@rigsar.com

27/Jan/2010 101Thank you Darren for this awesome course you have put together for us. I just want to offer encouragement to the person who may read this. Success is right around the corner and sometimes if you just push that one extra minute, second, thought, word, or decision this is what makes results. We often don’t go the extra mile or take the road less traveled because of more work we see ahead. But it takes steam to power a train and a made up mind to get what you want out of life. So my thoughts to you is live life without limits. Take off the chains that bind you in your situation, speak out, uplift and stay ENCOURAGED. Stick with this program even when you don’t want to and watch the magic, true magic that is unveil itself. I am a single mother of two, I work and attend school for Nursing and if I can do it so can you.
Be inspired today
[DARREN HARDY] Thanks for the words of encouragement, Joanne!

27/Jan/2010 102I am getting an error on the link to access the downloads. What might be the problem?
Love everything we are doing. It’s really great to be walked through this step by step. In the past, it all seemed so overwhelming and I just could wrap my arms and head around this. I feel much better this time around.
Thank you so much for the help.

This is very important to me and I appreciate all you are doing to help us and providing this service for free. Thank you!
Many thanks to Brett in comment 56 for pointing the way! Shows me how much I can learn from reading the posts.

27/Jan/2010 108This has been an inspiring but challenging process! I taught a goal setting session at my office Jan. 2nd. I was inspired to start a 30 day TV fast. Yup - no TV for 30 days…and it has been the most amazing, productful time of my life. I would never had come across your program ‘Best 10 yrs’ had I been stuck in the same old same old. I passed the link on to over 250 people & talked about it in our training. My last 10 years have been fairly successful, however I am so grateful for the opportunity to re-examine my past & make much more specific plans for the next 10. Because of your program & my TV Fast & a book called ‘ Holy Discontent’ by Bill Hybels - I have been motivated to dream MUCH bigger in the impact I could make in the realm of Teenagers & their faith, their choices, identity & purpose. I mentor a number of young women & have come up with some BIG ideas & goals on how to impact not only their lives but their whole community, the city, maybe even a nation. I do have to say though that this is all made possible because 20 yrs ago my husband & I set goals & worked hard together to accomplish them. Goal setting works!

27/Jan/2010 109Darren,
WOW! What a perfect installment. I just finished Dr. Wayne Dyer’s book, “Excuses Begone!” I have been immersed in the book for two weeks, both reading it and listening to the CD. It over laps with this installment, and gives such an in depth meaning of what it means to give and why. I highly recommend it as a book to read this year. I started to use the paradigms of giving in the book and already I have experienced the return. I look forward to the worksheets with great anticipation.
Thank You.

27/Jan/2010 112To Shane J (who wrote Comment #3, above)
I have begun tracking my efforts on a January calendar (printed out), with symbols showing each thing I have done that day. For example, if I worked on my Spanish that day I use a highlighter to make a yellow dot. Seeing lots of dots (and other symbols) on my calendar gives me good, positive visual feedback that I’m making real progress. I am going to keep each month’s calendar as I do them this year. Also, if any of my daily and weekly goals are a bit unrealistic (sometimes I don’t know how many nights a week I can get the energy after 10:00 to do productive work), I can make adjustments with less guilt. As I am writing this, I am thinking that short term rewards to oneself are a good idea. For example, if you accomplish a task a certain # of times in a month, you get a small reward. I’ll have to take my own advice and think up some reward for myself for Jan. if I do well.
I know sticking with routine tasks, when the ultimate goal seems distant, can be tedious. Hang in there!
Darren Hardy
27/Jan/2010 113Okay all, everything is working now! Go ahead and use the link (http://darrenhardy.success.com/about/challenge-worksheets/) and password and you should be able to access everything as instructed in the email. Thanks for your patience!!!

27/Jan/2010 114Tania, regarding your having trouble getting Success magazine delivered to you in Mumbai, just the other day I got an email confirming my online subscription to the magazine. Maybe that’s the answer to not being able to get the hardcopy version? Definitely worth checking into! All the best!

27/Jan/2010 115There is one thing I just cannot understand and I have been struggling with it for quite some time.
When ever I worked a JOB I excelled. Once I even had a promotion created for me. I had such high self-esteem when it came to my work. Throw anything at me and I’ll show you a better way of doing things.
Unfortunately, due to circumstances, I no longer work in the corporate world and settled for a home health care job cause it paid better. (not my career of choice).
When ever I have friends who has issues, I would sit with them and help come up with solutions to the situation. And when they did try my suggestions, it worked out well for them.
so explain to me WHY now that I am trying to start my own business, helping other learn online marketing, that my self-esteem is so low?
I have been pushing myself to finish each installment, pushing myself to read and listen to personal development material. At times I feel so good that I can concur the world and then like an energy drink, I crash!
This course has definitely confirmed what I want in life and also what is keeping me from it, my low self-esteem.
I am going to continue pushing for I have decided that I want to change so my life can change.
Needless to say, my #1 Attribute is self-esteem!
Between work and home and working on business, I never get a chance to be around people, to interact. Have to figure out how to give so I can get.
Tamra
Tracy
27/Jan/2010 116Tamra - Did that - understand - really. All I know _ I would use my family - dynamics - relationships - marriage - kids - people - you name it even neighbours to avoid looking in my mirror.
So now I need to face myself every day - I said no to the neighbour yesterday - she wanted to have coffee cause she was bored - and gossip. Politely I told her maybe on the weekend when I have coffee time. My sister - I know she was reaching out cause she needs my energy - it is never about just visiting - it never has been - she stop calling along time ago. So politely NO - when I look deep inside - I become accountable - I become important - I also start to feel the stuff I avoid - so chin up. You are so not alone - but as a mentor said to me 80% of the work is showing up - keep going something magical will happen.
You are closer than you think!

27/Jan/2010 122I would like to leave a comment to the message of Shane J dd 26th January. I can understand you as I have similar problems that come up during the activity. I dont have a problem doing the lessons for this project. I set away time for it, 45 minutes every morning, I get up earlier and basically on track, maybe a liitle behind depending on the volume of the lessons.
The problems I will face (that is my experience from the Past) is bringing the plan into action and sticking to it. So I am actually also looking for someone with whom I could work this through together and also get involved in each others process of planning and putting it into action.
My problem is, that I am from Germany and it is almost impossible getting someone involved in this over here (language problem). But being in the time of Email, Skype, Internet etc it shouldn´t be a problem setting up a communication basis throughout the world.
So I am open to it …. if there is anybody here that would like to join … I would be delighted.
